Job Summary:The Okafor lab is a dynamic and collaborative research environment that focuses on deciphering structural mechanisms of events in protein regulation, determining how these mechanisms evolved, and how they are altered in disease states. As an Assistant Research Professor, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of new research directions, mentor junior researchers, and work on exciting projects that have the potential to make a significant impact in the field.
Responsibilities:- Conduct independent research in structural biology and protein regulation
- Develop and implement new research projects and techniques
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to the development of new research directions
- Collaborate with other researchers in the lab and department
- Ph.D. in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of research experience
- Strong background in structural biology and protein regulation
