Assistant Research Professor

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill a full-time, non-tenure-line position at the level of Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) and affiliated with the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences.
Job SummaryThis position will advance new technologies for imaging-guided gene editing and apply these platforms to translational research in immuno-engineering. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, biotechnology, materials science, or a related discipline and expertise in molecular self-assembly, bioimaging, and/or immunology.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in imaging-guided gene editing and translational research in immuno-engineering
- Develop new technologies for imaging-guided gene editing
- Collaborate with multiple labs across colleges on a wide array of research areas in theranostic devices
- Work with faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and graduate/undergraduate students to conduct collaborative studies
- Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, biotechnology, materials science, or a related discipline
- Expertise in molecular self-assembly, bioimaging, and/or immunology
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
