Los Angeles, California, United States Brella Full time
About Brella
Welcome to the new village. Brella is dedicated to reshaping the approach to nurturing the next generation. Founded by two busy moms, our mission is to create a flexible care model that aligns with the dynamic lives of modern families while ensuring optimal developmental experiences for children.

Our Educators
At Brella, our educators possess a diverse range of expertise from various fields including early childhood education, human development, and psychology. Our team is focused on fostering essential traits in children, which we refer to as the "Three C's": confidence, compassion, and curiosity. We utilize a play-based curriculum influenced by Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and RIE methodologies.

Teaching at Brella is ideal for individuals who are passionate about creating learning opportunities in a dynamic environment. We adapt to the evolving needs of the communities we serve, and as we expand, so do the opportunities for our educators, whether within or beyond the classroom. Our innovative model is best suited for those who embrace change, are flexible, and are committed to transforming the educational landscape.

Educator Roles & Requirements
We welcome educators and teacher aides with varying levels of experience, from those currently pursuing Early Childhood Education credits to seasoned professionals. All educators at Brella provide a nurturing and secure environment for children aged 3 months to 6 years, modeling empathy, respect, and gentle guidance. Candidates for teacher aide positions should have a minimum of 6 months of relevant experience and be enrolled in a program that allows them to complete at least 3 units of coursework each semester until they fulfill the 12 units mandated by Title 22.
  • Teacher Aide positions offer a valuable opportunity for educators to gain experience while completing their ECE coursework. Brella provides both Resource/Floater Teacher Aide and Classroom Teacher Aide roles.
  • Resource/Floater Teacher roles are suitable for early-career educators with assistant experience or experienced teachers who wish to explore various age groups by supporting classrooms during breaks and covering for absences.
  • Teacher roles allow educators to concentrate on a specific age group while delving deeper into our play-based curriculum, planning, daily flow, documentation, and effective communication with the team, children, and parents. Our new Program Teacher role is designed for those seeking broader exposure across our program by stepping in to fill staffing gaps.
  • Lead Teachers should possess strong communication skills, whether managing challenging conversations with parents or providing constructive feedback to colleagues. We seek lead teachers with prior experience in modeling best practices in licensed centers and mentoring others.
