Staff Accountant

VanderHouwen is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP and GL functions, as well as experience with ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Responsibilities- Support month-end close processes to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
- Prepare month-end journal entries and bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and GAAP compliance.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis, reporting, and presentation of findings to leadership.
- Support annual audit preparation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
- Manufacturing, construction, or related industry experience a plus.
- Proficient with ERP systems and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Deadline-driven with the ability to effectively prioritize and maintain attention to detail/accuracy.
