Job Overview

Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Redmond, WA

Compensation: Up to $43 / Hour

About the Role: Our client, a prominent firm on the Eastside, is seeking a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Excel and experience with general ledger operations. This role encompasses the preparation of journal entries, management of fixed assets, and conducting financial audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and reconcile all general ledger accounts, and prepare journal entries along with necessary documentation.
  • Oversee bank balances and ensure precise and timely record-keeping for all banking transactions.
  • Manage month-end processes across the organization, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Support the accounting processes related to travel and staff expenses.
  • Handle the management of fixed assets, intangible assets, prepayments, and lease schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed.
  • Provide support to billing, payables, and payroll team members as required.
  • Assist with sales tax analysis and reporting across multiple states and countries.
  • Support financial and tax audits.
  • Document and monitor internal controls.
  • Collaborate on complex accounting projects and initiatives with other accounting and finance team members or departments.
  • Maintain the general ledger, assist with audit preparations, and perform other accounting duties as assigned.
