Position Overview
As an integral part of HDR, the IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace. Key Responsibilities
In the capacity of IT Support Specialist, your contributions will include:

  • Leveraging technology to meet business requirements and overcome challenges.
  • Guiding staff to optimize their use of computing resources effectively.
  • Combining extensive IT knowledge with a strong commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Engaging in organization-wide IT projects and initiatives.
  • Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and user-related issues.
  • Providing advanced troubleshooting for complex IT challenges.
  • Supporting various software applications.
  • Delivering desk-side training for enterprise applications upon request.
  • Managing hardware and software requisitions as directed.
  • Offering hardware support, including printer and printing assistance.
  • Assisting the IT Support team with inventory management of desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware assets.
  • Contributing to software inventory management as needed.
  • Coordinating local office communication regarding technical support topics.
  • Understanding client business needs and aligning technology solutions accordingly.
  • Collaborating with Systems Administrators on IT infrastructure processes.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with MicroStation, AutoCAD, ProjectWise, and/or GIS.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in technical support for PCs, networks, and servers.
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers and peripherals.
  • Experience in systems operations and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Windows 7/10/365 and Windows Server 2003/2008/2012.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional client service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
