Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced District Sales Manager to lead our sales team in the district. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a group of Territory Managers, directing them to close deals, penetrate existing accounts, and acquire new ones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to Territory Managers to achieve profitable sales and case growth objectives.
  • Lead a group of Territory Managers to achieve Division sales, penetration, and churn reduction objectives.
  • Research, develop, and maintain long and short-range sales plans.
  • Direct Territory Managers toward high-quality leads and assist them in warming leads and closing deals.
  • Submit and administer annual street sales operating plans and operating budgets.
  • Leverage Sales Coordinators to reduce time on administrative tasks and resolve TM and customer issues.
  • Assist in coordinating product cuttings and demonstrations, and develop sales and marketing strategies for customers.
  • Communicate sales data to contribute to product/service planning and assist in planning district sales meetings and events.
  • Understand and utilize Sales Foundations tools and processes to grow sales, generate additional revenue, and maintain customer service standards.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor new hires and existing Territory Managers.
  • Oversee, manage, and assess Territory Manager performance to plan regularly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of foodservice sales experience and two years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as customer service and presentation abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, preferably in Microsoft Office products.
