Responsibilities- Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).
- Perform select clinical duties, including interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and recording information on patients' charts.
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Document the provider's encounter with patients, including diagnoses, symptoms, and follow-up instructions.
- Transcribe patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following certifications required: Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association, American Medical Certification (AMCA), National Association for Health Professionals, National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
- Education: High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
