Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
  • Conduct vital sign measurements, record patient information, and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phone calls, maintaining records, and filing documents.
  • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized environment, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper inventory management.
  • May be responsible for transcribing patient orders, including laboratory tests, radiology tests, and medications.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Medical Assistant (MA) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Medical Certification (AMCA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), or American Medical Technologists (AMT).
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
