Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our OB/Gyn team at Ascension Seton in Austin, Texas. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our medical staff in delivering high-quality patient services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient examinations and treatments under the supervision of a licensed healthcare provider.
  • Conduct vital sign measurements, record patient information, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
  • Perform basic clerical duties, including answering phones, maintaining patient records, and filing documents.
  • Assist with ordering and stocking medical supplies, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Document patient information, including diagnoses, symptoms, and treatment plans, as directed by the healthcare provider.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire date.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Medical Assistant (NHA), Medical Assistant (NAHP), Medical Assistant (NCCT), Medical Assistant (AAMA), or Medical Assistant (AMT), obtained within 6 months of hire date.
  • High School diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of relevant job experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • OB/Gyn or Women's Health experience.
