Job Title: Facilities Operations Specialist

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Facilities and Operations Division, you will play a critical role in executing and assuring division-wide initiatives, programs, and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present project status reports to Facilities Management, Engineering, and Operations teams.
  • Perform cost, schedule, and earned value analyses to identify and report variances from baseline plans.
  • Ensure work completion within schedule and constraints.
  • Direct development of action plans and estimate requirements for resources.
  • Coordinate and monitor routine maintenance services completion.
  • Perform condition assessments and analyze results to scope corrective actions.
  • Coordinate, direct, inspect, and approve contract work and third-party vendors.
  • Lead process improvements within the unit or program.
  • Track operational deliverables and present status at quarterly reviews.
  • Develop written reports and recommendations and make presentations to lab senior leadership.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of related, demonstrated technical facilities/construction project management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience planning, developing, and implementing projects.
  • Demonstrated experience understanding and applying relevant codes, regulations, and processes.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to hold others accountable to ensure program delivery.
  • Experience working with internal and external vendors and services contracting.
  • Polished written and oral communication skills to address a wide variety of audiences.
  • Ability to productively engage and influence cross-functional teams.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Lean Green Belt or equivalent.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).

Expected Pay Range:

$105,029 - $127,319 per annum
