Position Overview:


Cipher Tech is on the lookout for individuals who are passionate about integrating Web Development with traditional Software Engineering in a dynamic career opportunity. This role necessitates successful completion of a security clearance investigation prior to commencing work.

In this role, you will contribute to a digital forensic lab and malware reverse engineering division by providing application development, scripting, debugging, and advanced development expertise.

You will also be responsible for maintaining existing software and creating new applications tailored to client specifications.

As a developer, you will engage with a diverse array of technologies, including web services, client applications, plugins, and scripts.

Work Location:
Remote work is not an option.

Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics is required.
Applicants must be U.S. Citizens (no exceptions).
Possession of a U.S. government security clearance at the Secret level or higher is mandatory.
Minimum graduating GPA of 3.25 is expected.
Experience in at least one technology from each of the following categories is essential (non-academic experience is strongly preferred):

Programming Languages: PHP, Java, Python, NodeJS, C#
Frontend Technologies: Javascript, jQuery, Angular, AngularJS

Additional proficiency in one of the following programming languages is necessary:

C, C++, Java, or Python

Strong working knowledge of PHP, Javascript, and/or Angular is required.
Ability to debug software applications effectively.
Familiarity with both high-level and low-level programming languages.
Competence in gathering testable software requirements.
Participation in the design of new software applications is expected.

Familiarity with maintainable software processes, including:
Software documentation
Source code versioning
Unit testing

Ability to adapt quickly to new challenges and environments.
Capability to operate in mission-critical and time-sensitive situations.

Key Attributes:
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possessing a strong work ethic.

Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with assembly languages
Experience in digital forensics
Knowledge of hex editors and byte-level operations
Understanding of the Windows API
Experience with IDA Pro
Basic knowledge of protocol analysis
Introductory understanding of malware analysis or reverse engineering
Experience in digital forensics
Familiarity with SQL
Basic knowledge of Network Architecture and networked applications
Experience in secure programming for web application development
Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including requirements definition and unit testing.
For entry-level candidates: Programming experience outside of academic settings, such as internships, clubs, contributions to open-source projects, or personal projects.
