Key Responsibilities


Utilizes educational background and practical experience to guide the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software using programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, and/or PHP.

Possesses knowledge in architecting, implementing, and deploying cloud-native solutions with container orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes, along with an understanding of application architecture, particularly microservices.


Collaborates with product owners, project managers, and fellow software engineers to interpret requirements, design solutions, and implement code that aligns with system performance objectives.

Develops, tests, and documents reliable code. Supports the continuous integration and continuous development pipeline.

Adheres to government directives, standards, guidelines, and criteria related to software safety and systems safety. Ensures that design mitigations are documented and verifies their implementation.

Specific Focus:
Development of web-based applications and cybersecurity tools.

  • Collaborate with Software Engineering, DevOps, and QA teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify user requirements and specify solutions within the problem domain.
  • Assist in the architecture and design processes.

Feature Development:

Integrate APIs, configure software packages, conduct unit testing, and prepare for production; provide operational and maintenance support for running applications (enhancements and patches).


  • Aid in the creation of deployment plans, including software deployment checklists and quality controls.
  • Implement DevSecOps best practices to facilitate software promotion into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Execute, test, and operate advanced software security techniques in compliance with technical reference architecture.
  • Conduct ongoing security testing and code reviews to enhance software security.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Cultivate familiarity with new cybersecurity software, tools, and best practices.
  • Active Secret level clearance required.
Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Experience in developing front-end web applications.
  • Experience in backend/API development.
  • Active Secret level clearance.
  • 0 years with a BS/BA; 4 years without a degree.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in architecting, implementing, and deploying cloud-native solutions.
  • Familiarity with containerized development (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficient in using GitLab CI/CD for automated testing and cloud deployments via Helm.
  • SQL/NoSQL database modeling and administration experience.
