Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to join our organization, focusing on delivering education and assistance to patients and their families regarding our unique rare disease product offerings. This remote role encompasses the Southwest region, and candidates should be located in areas with access to major airports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families about the disease and treatment options.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all relevant stakeholders.
  • Deliver insights on access and affordability related to our products.
  • Support patients in navigating reimbursement and insurance processes.
  • Work collaboratively with commercial teams to address and resolve access challenges.
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree coupled with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech sector.
  • Previous experience in Patient Services is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable engaging directly with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Strong commitment to ethical practices and compliance.
  • Technical knowledge in areas such as rare disease access, reimbursement, managed care, nursing, specialty pharmacy, billing/coding, or patient advocacy.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
