Job Summary

AESC US LLC is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineer/Systems Administrator to join our team in Florence, South Carolina. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the deployment and management of our data centers, ensuring the highest level of availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and manage data centers, including server, storage, and network infrastructure.
  • Work with local, regional, and global IT resources to ensure proper planning and deployment of data centers.
  • Take ownership of data center changes, incidents, problem management, and issue resolution.
  • Implement and maintain a highly available network server infrastructure.
  • Provision, maintain, and support new physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and data backup appliances.
  • Manage a Microsoft Active Directory environment.
  • Work with network infrastructure engineers to provide network connectivity to physical and virtual servers.
  • Work with application engineers to provide OS-level support for application development.
  • Provide systems support to other IT staff and end users as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of the data center environments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, technical training, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with racking and stacking server, storage, and network hardware in a data center environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and maintaining highly available, large compute and storage environments using virtualization technologies, high availability of Windows and Linux servers, and high availability of fiber channel and iSCSI storage arrays.
  • Experience with server monitoring and maintenance.
  • Proven track record of successful disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Understanding of basic network concepts, including firewall, routing, switching, and VLANs.
  • Familiarity with data center infrastructure power and cooling systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Understanding of root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques for issue resolution.
  • Team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record of learning new technologies and environments quickly.
  • Ability to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and manage priorities.
  • Understanding and adherence to all standards of ISO 14001 environmental standards.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing background, battery, or EV manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with specific technologies, including VMWare Stretch Clustering, Hyper-V Clusters, F5 Load Balances, Oracle Data Guard, Real Application Clusters (RAC), Microsoft Remote Desktop Virtualization/Thin Clients, Dell OpenManage, and Dell iDRAC.
  • Incident, problem, and change management experience.
  • Experience with network services, including DHCP and DNS.
  • Professional certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, Oracle, and other relevant vendors.
  • Proficiency in additional languages beyond English is advantageous.
  • Cross-cultural experience.
