Solar Systems Engineer

At Oscar Associates Limited, we are seeking a skilled Solar Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our solar PV systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with OEM requirements.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues with solar PV systems, developing corrective action plans as needed.
  • Perform testing activities, including open circuit voltage, I-V curves, DC current, and power meter verification.
  • Travel to project sites for on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of solar PV systems.
  • Conduct quality control inspections on assigned construction projects.
  • Audit third-party systems for potential O&M service contract sales.
  • Oversee and coordinate contractors' work on installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Record and report faults, deficiencies, and unusual occurrences, including time and materials used on work orders.
  • Prepare reports and communicate maintenance and troubleshooting results to customers.
  • Complete required training and qualifications within specified time frames, meeting or exceeding test score requirements.
  • Lead or assist in developing and revising processes and procedures.
Requirements:
  • 3-5+ years of PV/Solar experience
  • Strong troubleshooting experience
  • Electrical background
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • OSHA certifications preferred
