Role Overview: The Manufacturing / Process Technician is responsible for maintaining production efficiency by conducting direct inspections and reviewing reports, while collaborating with other shifts to ensure optimal process performance and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire molding process, including equipment, settings, auxiliary units, and robotics.
  • Direct and execute tool changes using Rapid Tool Change (RTC) techniques according to the production schedule.
  • Work on the 2nd shift from 9 PM to 5:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend work.
  • Compensation: Starting at $25/hour plus shift premium.
  • Perform inspection and review tasks to maintain production yields above 95%.
  • Respond to equipment alarms and document necessary changes.
  • Carry out repairs on processes and equipment as prioritized daily.
  • Maintain accurate logs and information for production reporting.
  • Submit close-out and restart data to the Quality department.
  • Collaborate with Production Control to manage the RTC calendar.
  • Conduct automation process and maintenance work as required.
  • Enhance team productivity by training and mentoring less experienced personnel as directed by the Molding Team Leader.
  • Minimize downtime by creating and processing work orders for damaged equipment needing repair.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education, with experience in manufacturing, preferably in the plastics sector.
  • Proven experience in operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Plastic Injection Molding Presses.
  • Strong knowledge of injection molding machines, processes, and materials.
  • Ability to effectively use a personal computer, including familiarity with Windows-based operating systems and related software.
