Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Agent to join our team at Balboa Bay Resort & Club. As a Security Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, team members, and hotel assets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Patrol hotel/resort property to ensure the safety of guests and team members and to protect all hotel assets.
  2. Investigate, record, and report any accidents, incidents, or other issues necessary for the safe and efficient operation of the property and safety of persons.
  3. Maintain accurate records while performing basic office duties, including camera monitoring, shift activity log, code book, and team member and guest interaction.
  4. Administer property's key control policy and provide key assistance, lock programming, and related investigations as requested or required.
  5. Stay abreast of all security concerns, logs, reports, and activities by reviewing information from prior shift(s), debriefing, etc.
  6. Resolve guest complaints and anticipate potential problems by reviewing and monitoring incident reports.
  7. Follow all safety and security policies and procedures, report potential safety issues to manager whenever observed, and take immediate action to resolve in emergency situations.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Two years of experience in related security position, with hotel or resort experience preferred.
  3. Excellent customer service/communication skills to work with guests of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
  4. Able to use mathematics to solve problems.
  5. Completes required training as scheduled.
  6. Requires ability to use property's computer and systems to record, store, and analyze information.
  7. Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  8. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English to understand instructions, safety rules, and communicate with guests and government agencies.
  9. Able to work independently with minimal guidance and as part of a team.
  10. Must have current Guard Card.
  11. May require valid drivers' license in good standing with clean driving record.
  12. Must complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) alcohol awareness certification as scheduled upon employment.
  13. Must complete have current CPR, First Aid, and Defibrillator certifications or willingness and ability to obtain these within 45 days of employment.
