Columbia University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Assistant Director of Operations for the Alice Health Promotion department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring seamless delivery of services to students, faculty, and staff. This includes supervising student casual employees and volunteers, coordinating events and projects, and maintaining accurate records and reports.

The Assistant Director of Operations will also serve as the primary liaison to Columbia Health administrative services, working closely with finance, communications, HR, IT, and other departments to achieve operational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the operational aspects of the department, including budget planning, procurement, and facility maintenance.
  • Supervise student casual employees and volunteers, providing guidance and support to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Coordinate events, projects, and committees, working closely with departmental and divisional stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in higher education operations, healthcare operations, project management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in higher education operations, healthcare operations, project management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with cultural humility and sensitivity towards a diverse student population.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential communications.
Estimated Salary:$80,200 annually.
