We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Contracts Manager to join our Commercial Engines Contracts Management Organization team in East Hartford, Connecticut.
Key Responsibilities- Support the drafting, negotiation, interpretation, and management of complex proposal and contract documents for Commercial Engines & Aftermarket Services sales offerings.
- Develop customer interaction skills, improve negotiation abilities, and gain international business experience.
- Participate in campaign strategy development, drive sales proposal efforts, and ensure that all documents properly reflect Pratt & Whitney business and legal objectives.
- Frequently be involved in customer negotiations, including travel to customer sites as needed.
- Develop and implement strategies, processes, and procedures to achieve the Commercial Engines Contracts organization's objectives.
- Drive compliance with department policies and procedures related to document preparation and approval and communication of department and company business objectives.
- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of contract management or in a position with a focus on contract drafting and negotiating; OR an Advanced degree and 5+ years of contract management or in a position with a focus on contract drafting and negotiating.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen - this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
- Master's Degree or Juris Doctorate.
- This position is dynamic and requires significant social interaction.
- Strong document drafting and negotiation skills, management skills, an understanding of aerospace business and legal issues.
- Familiarity with ACE/CORE process improvement tools.
- Good business judgment and project management skills in order to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Technical/engineering expertise and skills would be beneficial but not required.
