Position Overview: Technical Program Manager

In this essential role, you will oversee various contracted projects aimed at conducting fundamental research in Directed Energy weaponry. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, capable of leading technical teams, and proficient in working independently. Strong communication skills are vital for effectively conveying program details through reports and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple technology development contracts and subcontracts
  • Ensure adherence to cost, schedule, and technical performance metrics for assigned projects
  • Collaborate with government, industry, and academic professionals throughout project execution
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 4 years of experience in project management
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
  • Knowledge of US DoD research contracting practices and management of US DoD contracts
  • Experience in collaborating with academic institutions
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
  • Experience with Directed Energy weapon technologies
Security Clearance:
  • Active Secret Clearance is required for initial engagement
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time
  • Regular use of office equipment including computers and printers
  • Frequent communication with colleagues, management, and clients, which may involve presentations
  • Data management responsibilities
  • Movement within a laboratory environment
  • Repetitive tasks
