Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Injured Workers Pharmacy (IWP). As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of prescription preparation, patient service, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter prescription information into our system for verification by the Pharmacist
  • Assist in prescription preparation, including selecting the correct medication, accurately counting, bottling, and labeling prescriptions for shipment
  • Prepare and consolidate patient prescriptions for shipment
  • Assist in inventory activities, including replenishing pharmacy stock and supplies
  • Ensure the pharmacy is clean and organized, and filling stations are restocked throughout the day
  • Provide exceptional patient service, including triaging incoming phone calls, confirming prescription accuracy, setting appropriate expectations, and following through on service commitments
Requirements
  • Massachusetts Registered Technician License or Technician Trainee License in good standing
  • Demonstrated computer acumen, including typing, functional computer knowledge, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician License preferred
  • 2 years of relevant pharmacy experience preferred
  • Retail, long-term care, or mail order experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work a variety of schedules, including evenings and Saturdays
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, including standing or sitting for up to 8 hours per day
