Job Title: Laboratory Technician Assistant

Location: Andover, MA

This is a part-time role requiring 6 hours per day.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work within a cross-functional team of engineers and scientists to deliver on agreed milestones for new product development, early phase evaluations, and legacy products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform FTIR and SEM analyses on samples, including training lab personnel on instrument operation.
  • Work with minimal supervision from Scientists and Manager to ensure reports are signed and sent out in a timely fashion.
  • Track SVHCs and order standards of identified SVHCs to confirm identification by submitting standards to lab for testing.
  • Comply with laboratory management practices set-up by the laboratory manager, including S&N global health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Assist laboratory team to create and update work instructions for safe and effective use of equipment in the laboratory.
  • Operate FTIR and SEM, gain hands-on experience on other techniques such as HPLC when time allows.
  • Perform administrative functions as necessary (reporting, routing for docusign, filing of reports).

Requirements:

  • Good team and communication skills
  • Good time management skills and ability to perform well under pressure

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is expected to spend significant time in a laboratory environment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
