Job Opportunity: Developmental Disability Care Professional

We are looking for a dedicated Developmental Disability Care Professional to join our team at the League Education and Treatment Center.

About the Position:

The Developmental Disability Care Professional will be responsible for providing physical therapy services to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Evaluating children to determine their needs and developing individualized therapy plans
  2. Providing physical therapy services, including administering treatments and modifying activities to meet each child's unique needs
  3. Maintaining accurate records and reports on each child's progress
  4. Participating in team meetings and parent training sessions to ensure seamless communication and collaboration

Requirements and Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Physical Therapy is essential, with 2-3 years of experience working with children with developmental disabilities preferred. NYS licensure to practice is also required.

Compensation and Benefits:

The annual salary for this full-time position is $72,000 - $80,000, with a 5-day workweek and hours from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. Part-time hourly rates start at $70.00 per hour, with a schedule of 9 am – 3:00 pm. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement plan.
