Job Description:

As a Caregiver for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of others while gaining valuable experience in the field of healthcare.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to promote socialization and well-being.
  • Implement behavior management techniques when necessary to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment, including household chores and meal preparation.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
  • Experience in senior care, patient care, or mental health is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of direct support practices and principles, including person-centered planning and trauma-informed care.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with individuals under your care, as well as their families and caregivers.
  • Capability to manage challenging behaviors with patience and empathy, using de-escalation techniques when necessary.
