Job Title: Accounting Manager

Job Summary:

The Accounting Manager is a key member of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth team, responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the schools. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage the school's budget, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Diocesan policies.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payment and collection of invoices.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform monthly, quarterly, and end-of-year close-outs.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial management.
  • Provide financial guidance and support to school administrators and staff.
  • Collaborate with the Diocesan Finance Office to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, banks, and other external partners.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Diocesan Finance Office.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in accounting, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Experience with Sage Intact and ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

Working Conditions:

This position works in a typical office environment and requires the ability to sit and perform computer work for lengthy periods. Travel may be required to Diocesan Schools.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree preferred, or 4 to 5 years of comparable work experience. Experience with Catholic Church Administrative Office is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

Microsoft Office - Intermediate to advanced capabilities with a heavy emphasis in Excel, and Word. Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate analytical, customer service skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
