Job Title: Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team at Optimal Staffing. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and ensuring financial compliance through the preparation of our company reports and statements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the monthly closing of all entities
  • Account reconciliation reviews and resolution of aging items
  • Oversee 3rd party claims and hull claims with insurance companies
  • Perform quarterly balance sheet and P&L fluctuation analysis
  • Maintain a level of trust and accountability with all staff
  • Manage and lead the accounting team
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and analyze for discrepancies
  • Manage lien waivers and terms of payment
  • Maintain bank note schedules and reconciliations
  • Make AR deposits and record them in the ERP
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline or equivalent mix of experience and education
  • 5-7 years of Accounting experience
  • 3+ years of management and supervisor experience
