Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Paraprofessional to join our Day Habilitation program at People Incorporated. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in providing instruction and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their independence and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement daily schedules and activities as directed by the Program Director or Coordinator.
  • Document daily progress and behavior services in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Day Habilitation team to develop and implement service plans that meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of program participants at all times.
  • Provide physical and emotional support to individuals as needed, including escorting, assisting, and transporting them as required.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare, mental health, or developmental disability setting preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and program participants.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Valid driver's license and a qualifying criminal background check required.
