Experienced Banquet Staff

At the picturesque Newfound Lake Inn, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Banquet Staff Member to join our event operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our events, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and prepare banquet rooms to meet the specific needs of each event, including tables, chairs, linens, and decorations.
  • Provide warm and welcoming service to guests, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded throughout the event.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally, adhering to proper serving etiquette and presentation.
  • Clear tables, remove dirty dishes, and reset tables for the next course or event, maintaining a clean and organized banquet area.
  • Assist in kitchen duties, such as plating, food preparation, and expediting orders, ensuring seamless execution of events.
  • Communicate effectively with the event coordinator, kitchen staff, and other banquet team members to ensure a smooth and successful event.
  • Break down the event space after the function concludes, including cleaning, organizing, and storing equipment.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in banquet/event service, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
  • Ability to follow instructions quickly and accurately, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with guests and colleagues alike.
  • Ability to work long days (10-hour shifts) during wedding season, with a focus on providing exceptional service during peak periods.
