Job Title: Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant is a key member of the Financial Planning and Analysis team at Healthtrax Fitness & Wellness. This role is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial services to senior management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and reconcile journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decisions.
  • Assist with the preparation of audit work papers and respond to inquiries from external auditors.
  • Prepare and analyze financial data, including budget variances and trend analysis.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Experience with financial software, including AccPac or similar business intelligence software.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
