Job Summary

Vertex Aerospace LLC is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Avionics Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As an Aircraft Avionics Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing troubleshooting and rewiring of complex avionics/electronic systems and subsystems discrepancies and modifications. You will also perform aircraft inventory, acceptance, and transfer inspections, provide technical assistance and guidance as required, and assist in P&E report preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform troubleshooting and rewiring of complex avionics/electronic systems and subsystems discrepancies and modifications.
  • Perform aircraft inventory, acceptance, and transfer inspections.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance as required.
  • Assist in P&E report preparation.
  • May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
  • Maintain assigned aircraft in accordance with Navy, Manufacturer, and Company Instructions.
  • Use provided test equipment and Ground Support Equipment to perform assigned tasks.
  • Read, interpret, and apply instructions from Blueprints, schematics, and other approved data.
  • Assist with ordering parts, tools, materials, and equipment as required.
  • Document work accomplished on Maintenance Action Forms (MAF) or NALCOMIS System.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work center and around your assigned work area.
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention rules and regulations.
  • Responsible for adhering to Company Tool Control Program.
Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have three (3) years experience within the last six (6) years in aircraft electrical/avionics maintenance, including avionics corrosion detection, treatment, and prevention, performing maintenance on avionics and/or electrical systems, utilizing tools, blueprints, drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and normal safety requirements, or satisfactory completion of T45 OJT program.
  • Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces aircraft avionics school or other schools with equivalent curriculum.
  • Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
  • Must be able to obtain the level of security clearance required by the Government.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must have a valid DL.
