Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structural Mechanic to join our team at Vertex Aerospace LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to aircraft structural repair and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform modifications, removal, replacement, and reinstallation actions on aircraft structures
  • Adjust, set up, troubleshoot, repair, and demonstrate correct usage of shop metal working equipment, hand tools, powered tools, fastener installation tooling, and fixtures
  • Develop, design, recommend, and determine structural repair and replacement requirements and procedures
  • Assist in preparing P&E reports and maintain required records and maintenance forms
  • Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction as required
  • Perform aircraft inventory, acceptance, and transfer inspections
  • May be required to perform off-site service on assigned detachments
Requirements
  • Minimum of a high school diploma equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience as an I Level Airframe Structural Mechanic or satisfactory completion of T45 OJT Program
  • Familiarity with aircraft systems, tools, drawings, schematics, and normal safety requirements
  • Experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and prevention
  • Satisfactory completion of U.S. Navy aircraft structural repair AMS A or B school or equivalent aircraft structural repair courses preferred but not required
  • FAA Airframe license, desired, but not required
