Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structural Mechanic to join our team at Vertex Aerospace LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing structural repairs and modifications on aircraft, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft, including composite work
  • Develop and implement repair procedures and templates
  • Assist in preparing P&E reports and maintaining records
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to team members
  • Perform aircraft inventory, acceptance, and transfer inspections
  • Troubleshoot and repair aircraft engines, airframes, and systems
  • Repair and replace major aircraft structures, including wings, fuselage, and landing gear systems
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Heavy Structural Mechanic, with composite work experience
  • Satisfactory completion of U.S. Navy aircraft structural repair AMS A or B school or equivalent courses
  • FAA Airframe license desired, but not required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CAC and required DOD clearance
  • Valid state driver's license
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a shop environment, with potential exposure to inclement weather, high noise levels, and electrical shock hazards.

  • Formal or specialized training in hazardous waste communications, FOD and TCP awareness, security clearance awareness, and OPNAV INST program awareness
