Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structural Mechanic to join our team at Vertex Aerospace LLC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing structural repairs and replacements on aircraft, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform modifications, removal, replacement, and reinstallation actions on aircraft structures
  • Adjust, set up, and troubleshoot shop metalworking equipment and hand tools
  • Develop, design, and recommend structural repair and replacement procedures
  • Inspect and determine metal, plastic, phenolic, and fiberglass part fabrication procedures
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to team members
  • Maintain and complete required records and maintenance forms
  • Use schematics, drawings, and other publications to troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems
  • Perform aircraft inventory, acceptance, and transfer inspections
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years of experience as a Heavy Structural Mechanic in the last ten years, including composite work
  • Satisfactory completion of U.S. Navy aircraft structural repair AMS A or B school or equivalent courses preferred
  • FAA Airframe license desired but not required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to obtain and maintain CAC and required DOD clearance
  • Valid state driver's license required
