Job Overview

McNellie's is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of our Downtown Pub. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of food and beverage quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and lead a team of skilled front-of-house and back-of-house staff, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
  • Customer Service: Maintain high service standards, address guest concerns, and promote a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring exceptional guest experiences.
  • Financial Management: Manage the budget, monitor expenses, and maximize revenue, implementing cost-control measures while ensuring quality remains uncompromised.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards of food and beverage quality, presentation, and service, ensuring consistency across all aspects of the restaurant.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and licensing regulations, monitoring and enforcing sanitation and food safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation efficiently, minimizing waste and optimizing profitability.
  • Problem Solving: Address any issues that arise during service promptly and professionally, ensuring seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Experience as a Restaurant Manager or equivalent role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant operations, including food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to analyze and improve processes.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and evenings, with a willingness to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Knowledge of local health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Proficiency in restaurant POS systems and MS Office, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Certification in food safety and responsible alcohol service, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
