Job Overview

Manage the Optimum Retail Store location(s) by ensuring that sales targets, productivity, accuracy, and quality standards are consistently achieved. This role involves mentoring and engaging with both employees and customers to foster a positive retail environment. Address escalated customer issues with professionalism and resolve conflicts effectively, ensuring a satisfactory outcome. Uphold and enforce all store policies and procedures to deliver exceptional customer service. Optimize staffing to enhance service levels and maintain compliance with regulations. Support the development of a skilled Retail Sales team capable of promoting various products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the performance of Retail Store staff and provide constructive feedback to enhance customer satisfaction. Identify training needs and manage workload efficiently.
  • Oversee cash handling processes, ensuring all Retail Store employees are trained for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure a continuous supply of qualified Retail Sales Agents through effective training, motivation, and performance recognition.
  • Conduct regular monitoring in line with company policies to guarantee quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in maintaining employee records, including payroll and attendance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate opening and closing of the Retail Store.
  • Support management in controlling expenses, including overtime and departmental costs.
  • Report any cash discrepancies of $100 or more to management and take necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Participate in and lead regular departmental meetings and conference calls.
  • Communicate sales objectives clearly to each Retail Sales Associate and monitor their performance daily.
  • Develop and implement retail sales strategies that align with the overall organizational goals.
  • Exceed growth and profitability targets by maximizing customer interactions.
  • Drive sales of Optimum products while ensuring operational efficiency for maximum profitability.
  • Ensure all merchandising displays and planograms comply with company standards.
  • Collaborate with other channels to increase store traffic and engage in events to enhance location visibility.
  • Willingness to travel to various store locations as needed.
  • Supervise and manage employee performance, attendance, and training requirements.
  • Assist the Retail Market Manager with recruitment, performance evaluations, and action plans for underperforming Retail Sales Consultants.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Business preferred; High School diploma required; at least five years of relevant sales experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Minimum of three years in a high-volume customer service/sales/retail setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple tasks.
  • Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic retail environment.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Strong supervisory skills, including coaching, mentoring, and time management.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to travel to multiple locations required.
  • Excellent listening, analytical problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry equipment up to 35 pounds for extended periods.
