Job Summary:

As a Utility Aide/Dishwasher at Maxwell Group, Inc., you will play a vital role in supporting the dining functions of our campus. This position involves providing various services in the areas of food preparation, dishwashing, sanitation, and the receiving and storage of supplies under the supervision of the Executive Chef/Director of Dining Services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Executive Chef/Director of Dietary Services with the calculation of food and supply inventory.
  • Attend to kitchen spills quickly and keep the floor and surface areas clean and free of debris.
  • Assist in preparation of meals, manage portion control, and ensure proper diet requirements (including special diets).
  • Follow sanitation programs/schedules, including daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules and sanitation inspections.
  • Keep food items from possible contamination and spoilage with proper covers, dating/labeling, storage, and by keeping food at safe temperatures.
  • Assist with the receiving, inspection, and storage of supplies.
  • Remove trash from all kitchen areas and monitor all garbage cans and garbage sites related to dietary services.
  • Wash, scrub, and dry all dishes, utensils, beverage containers, beverage, food carts, and cooking pots, containers, and pans.
  • Manage dishwashing stations and ensure that all chemicals register correctly following approved State and company guidelines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and equipment checks on all dishwashing equipment in the kitchen area.
  • Transport dishes back to the main kitchen for cleaning.
  • As assigned, set up and break down member/resident events.

Requirements:

  • High school graduation or GED required.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar position desired.
