Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Onsite Coordinator to join our team at Avantor. In this role, you will be responsible for inventory management, customer service, and purchasing functions. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage inventory of consumables and chemicals, including documenting inventory movement and maintaining accurate inventory control.
  • Prepare inventory reports by collecting and analyzing information on stock usage.
  • Monitor slow-moving and dead inventory, conduct cycle counting, and report on inventory levels.
  • Plan daily customer service functions and communicate with customers regarding inventory management.
  • Handle purchasing functions, including backorder reporting, expediting, and resolving open invoices or pricing issues.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including order entry, reporting, and cost savings tracking.
  • Perform shipping coordination activities, including shipping customer material and handling routine issues.
  • Interface directly with customer point of contact, purchasing directors, facility directors, and plant managers.
  • Manage consigned, non-consigned, customer-owned, and 3rd-party inventory.
  • Utilize Avantor and customer computer systems to fulfill job duties.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or undergraduate degree in business or science-related field preferred.
  • 4 years' experience in customer service, purchasing, and/or account management required.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and inventory management software.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including a professional demeanor.
  • Basic purchasing and inventory knowledge required.
  • High regard for safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and multitask-oriented.
  • Ability to self-manage, motivate others, and be forward-thinking.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
