Overview

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in assisting the Store Manager to foster the James Avery culture, enhance customer interactions, elevate brand visibility, and streamline store operations. This position is integral in collaborating with team members to establish a customer-centric sales environment that drives performance and maximizes profitability, while ensuring adherence to our core values.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the Store Manager to create a positive and motivating workplace atmosphere.
  2. Support the recruitment, onboarding, and training processes for new team members.
  3. Act as a brand ambassador within the store and the community, building and nurturing relationships that enhance brand recognition and increase foot traffic.
  4. Assist in critical operational tasks such as inventory oversight, staff scheduling, payroll management, and budget adherence to optimize profitability.
  5. Lead by example, ensuring compliance with all operational procedures and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
  6. Serve as the sales leader on the floor, fostering strong customer relationships, mentoring the team, and driving revenue growth.
  7. Facilitate training and knowledge sharing among team members as necessary.
  8. Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store environment to enhance the shopping experience for customers and create an inspiring workplace for staff.
  9. Analyze sales data and key performance indicators to identify business needs; collaborate with the Store Manager to implement effective sales strategies.
  10. Encourage a collaborative approach to problem-solving within the team.
  11. Model and promote exceptional customer service standards.
  12. Ensure efficient transaction processes at the register, staying informed on policies regarding payments, returns, and exchanges.
  13. Work alongside the Store Manager to address human resources matters promptly and effectively.
  14. Build strong relationships across departments to foster trust and credibility throughout the organization.
  15. Assist in planning and executing special events and promotional activities.
  16. Demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in a relevant field and two years of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and cultivating customer relationships.

Proven ability to delegate tasks effectively and provide constructive feedback in a supportive manner.

Demonstrated capacity to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and a positive demeanor under pressure.

Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

Adept at building cross-functional partnerships and working collaboratively.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment.
