Position Summary

This role is essential for our operations, and we are looking for a dedicated individual who can ensure the quality and functionality of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections, testing, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of audio and video equipment, including amplifiers, mixers, and lighting fixtures.
  • Collaborate with the Parts Department to source necessary components for repairs.
  • Prepare detailed estimates covering labor, parts, and materials required for repairs.
  • Execute warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to gather information for accurate diagnostics and provide updates on repair progress.
  • Perform custom wiring and assembly tasks, including creating audio cables and modifying connectors.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve customer service and financial objectives.
  • Manage multiple repair projects simultaneously while addressing customer service needs as directed.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality to minimize returns and complaints.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or certification in Electronics Servicing is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics repair is required.
  • Familiarity with audio, video, lighting, and electronic musical instruments is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining high standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, with minimal travel required. The role may involve lifting and moving equipment up to 50 pounds, and the employee will need to sit for extended periods, as well as stand and walk frequently.
