The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, be able to relate well with clients in a professional and compassionate manner, and be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Obtain and process venous and capillary blood samples required for laboratory analysis from patients of all ages.
• Process clinical specimens for delivery to laboratory departments and for pick-up by reference laboratories.
• Perform all duties within assigned work blocks.
• Demonstrate compliance with corporate, departmental, and job-specific requirements.
• Assist in the preventative maintenance and disinfection within the Specimen Processing area.
• Travel to off-site locations for the purpose of phlebotomy collections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• High school or equivalent (GED).
• Must have at least one year of Phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting and clinical support experience in specimen processing.
• Ability to perform in emergent or crisis situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well with clients in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions:
• Hours are 4:30 AM - 1 PM Monday - Friday, and every other weekend.
• Must be able to travel to off-site locations for the purpose of phlebotomy collections.
