Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Wexford Health Sources. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain supplies, materials, and records of treatment
• Set up instruments, equipment, and supplies as directed by the Dentist
• Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort throughout the process
• Assist in instruction of patients in proper dental hygiene
• Ensure proper clean up, packaging, and sterilizing of instruments
• Assist in screenings for dental emergencies and sick call
• Provide chair-side assistance by keeping the operating field clear, passing instruments, and suctioning
• Scrub and sterilize instruments
• Mix restorative materials
• Maintain x-ray unit, processor, autoclave, and dental unit according to specifications
• Inventory supplies and equipment to maintain adequate levels
• Order supplies and equipment as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dental clinic
• Perform administrative responsibilities, including maintaining dental charts, recording dental findings, scheduling patients' dental appointments, and preparing patient schedules for escort officers

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED certificate
• None required licensure
