Laboratory Phlebotomy Specialist

Under the general direction of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, Assistant Phlebotomy Supervisor, and the Director of Laboratory Services, collects blood specimens for analysis and processes accessions requisitions into the Laboratory Computer System.
Responsibilities
Collects blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and adult populations.
Processes accessions requisitions into the Laboratory Computer System.
Maintains accurate and detailed records of specimen collection and processing.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certified Phlebotomy Training Course completion and certificate preferred.
Minimum 1 year of Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.
Must have pediatric and adult experience.
Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Effective phlebotomy skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer skills.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Must be able to switch priorities and respond to changing needs of the department, including traveling to other locations for assignment.
