Job Title: Fire Project Coordinator

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Fire Project Coordinator to join our team at Johnson Controls International plc. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and documenting fire alarm and suppression projects, as well as providing administrative support to the Construction Managers and Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and document fire alarm and suppression projects, including ordering equipment and managing project schedules.
  • Provide administrative support to the Construction Managers and Project Managers, including uploading and maintaining projects and contracts via Job Design/BBI.
  • Monitor the status of small projects and communicate with customers and sales reps regarding material and labor requirements.
  • Ensure that required engineering is performed to meet customer expectations and coordinate with TIS supervisor and/or construction manager customer's labor requirements.
  • Order equipment, ensure that customers receive material when needed, and report to department managers project status.
  • Process change orders, releasing equipment, filing, Certificate of Insurance, Warranty Letters, and billing of projects.
  • Handle customer/contract disputes as needed and coordinate delivery of equipment to the job site.
  • Coordinate delivery of close-out documents, creation of purchase orders for subcontractors, and procurement and verification of project schedules.
  • Attend work in progress meetings, track project RFI's, change orders, and other pertinent documentation, and coordinate/follow up with sales team regarding project bookings.
  • Assist with accounts receivable and act as the facilitator and point-person for information sharing between OTC, District, and select customers as directed by ACSM.
  • Support dispute resolution in resolving disputes when requested by the AR collectors or the dispute team.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of ACE, OASys, Job Cost Systems.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize among assignments with a strong adherence to deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivating.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Positive attitude a must.
  • Punctual and accountable.
  • Experience dealing with customers.

Preferred:

  • Associates degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience in a high-volume, customer service-oriented position.
  • Electrical/construction industry experience is helpful.
