Job Overview

The Project Manager is a key role within General Security Services Corporation, responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of electronic security installation projects. This position requires a highly organized individual with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate project kick-off meetings and ensure timely project scheduling
  • Work closely with Project Coordinators and subcontractors to assign resources and manage project staging requirements
  • Maintain accurate project records, including change orders and project updates
  • Provide regular project status updates to the resources planning system
  • Attend project meetings and maintain project schedules
  • Ensure seamless execution of the EPG process flow, including documentation, client communication, and successful completion of work tickets
  • Collaborate with the business development team to enhance the client experience and deliver on commitments
  • Maintain thorough notes and updates on client project work
  • Communicate with customers regarding scheduled work and provide updates on repairs and/or preventative maintenance visits
  • Conduct site visits to ensure high-quality standards and safety
  • Set customer expectations and communicate with all stakeholders
  • Provide support to technical staff and mentor Project Coordinators in project management best practices
  • Implement project management methodologies and foster a team environment
Requirements
  • 2-year degree with 5 years of relevant experience in low voltage systems or 4-year degree and 3 years of experience
  • Ability to follow corporate values and demonstrate strong conflict management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret general business documentation
  • Superior customer service skills to communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize job duties to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups of customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn GSSC software
  • Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and changing business demands
  • PMP certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
  • Working knowledge of low voltage systems, including intrusion, fire alarm, access control, nurse call, and video systems
