Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at Suncoast Skin Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greets patients in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Answers phone calls in a timely manner, schedules appointments, and verifies patient information.
  • Scans insurance cards and driver's licenses, and reviews patient benefits and eligibility.
  • Enters accurate patient demographic and financial information into our billing system.
  • Collects payments and balances owed by patients, and generates daily batch reconciliations.
  • Provides exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Works collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient administrative processes.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical administrative and customer service role preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer programs, EMR systems, and clinical terminology an asset.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking required.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Multitasking and repetitive motion may be involved.
