Job Summary

The Diabetes Care Coordinator position is a high-level administrative role that provides comprehensive support for a complex program of services. This position is responsible for managing schedules, templates, and communication for Pharmacists, RDNs, and RN/Diabetes educators. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and experience working in a medical setting.

Key Responsibilities

Manage schedules and templates for Pharmacists, RDNs, and RN/Diabetes educators
Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing tutorials on the use of Bookings and Mychart, scheduling, and referral/insurance concerns
Control incoming referrals, reviewing for accuracy and appropriateness, and managing communication
Assess patient enrollment and manage communication between MFM, OB providers, and Diabetes Educators
Maintain and uphold JCAHO and OSHA guidelines within the facility
Manage billing work queues, evaluating, modifying, and editing charges within scope
Maintain inventory for office supplies, medical/staff supplies, and class materials

Requirements

Associate's degree preferred or additional job experience such as CNA, LPN, MA
Two years of professional customer service, receptionist, clinical, or concierge experience; preferably in a medical setting
Experience working with and sensitivity to the needs of pregnant women, elders, or disabled individuals preferred

Pay and Benefits

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. The pay scale for this position is $21.25 - $30.59 USD, influenced by factors specific to applicants, including skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
