This position is for a Safety Officer at our medical marijuana dispensary.

Your Role

As a part-time Safety Officer, you will be one of the initial points of contact for our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the security of the facility, individuals, and vendors during your shifts.

Work Environment

This role will be based on-site at our dispensary. Our operational hours are from 9 am to 9 pm daily, and weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage tactically to serve and protect our patients with diligence and efficiency.
  • Verify state-issued identification and maintain the visitor log.
  • Conduct security checks in collaboration with management.
  • Assist with monitoring and enhancing patient flow alongside the reception team.
  • Maintain strong situational awareness and emotional intelligence while working within a diverse team.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet age requirements as stipulated by state regulations.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Law Enforcement, Security, or Military roles is required.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, POS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Teams is essential.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, or moving at least 50 lbs.
  • Able to sit, stand, kneel, bend, squat, and walk for extended periods.
  • Competent in handling cash or card transactions using electronic processing systems.
