Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-focused care and overseeing all departmental functions during assigned shifts. Collaborating with management, the CNC directs and evaluates nursing care in line with established protocols, serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate efficient admission and discharge processes to enhance patient care.
  • Engage in ongoing assessments of care quality in collaboration with management.
  • Foster teamwork and collaboration among staff to improve service outcomes.
  • Uphold a patient-first philosophy and address service recovery when needed.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and patient satisfaction.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of new staff.
  • Manage staff scheduling and labor management in accordance with patient needs.
  • Oversee inventory control and manage supplies and equipment effectively.

About the Unit:

  • Newly established unit focused on orthopedic and spine care.
  • 32-bed unit dedicated to post-operative patient care.
  • Collaborative team environment with experienced nursing staff and supportive leadership.
  • On-site therapy gym for integrated patient rehabilitation.
Qualifications Required:
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
  • Active registered nurse license in the state of practice.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Encouragement of involvement in professional organizations.
  • Preferred two years of clinical experience in a relevant specialty and leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated clinical and leadership competency.
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication with all stakeholders.
