Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Registered Nurse, you will be tasked with delivering high-quality, patient-focused care in accordance with departmental requirements and state standards. Working collaboratively with medical professionals and the care team, you will provide tailored, comprehensive, and compassionate care, adhering to established nursing protocols such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also serve as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the patient's condition upon admission and during each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in status.
  • Execute procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring thorough and timely documentation of care in the patient's medical record.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient responses, and take appropriate actions in case of adverse reactions.
  • Deliver outstanding care by responding swiftly to patient requests, proactively anticipating needs, and resolving issues.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers regarding the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by simplifying complex medical terminology.

About the Unit:

  • Newly established unit dedicated to post-operative care.
  • 32-bed Orthopedic & Spine Specialty unit focused on patient recovery.
  • Well-structured care team comprising registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care technicians, clinical nurse coordinators, and unit secretaries.
  • Supportive leadership with experienced leads and exceptional physician collaboration.
  • Patient-centered therapy gym integrated within the department for close cooperation with the therapy team.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current licensure as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice or an active compact license, in compliance with legal regulations. BLS certification required upon hire.
  • Minimum of one year of prior nursing experience required, with previous clinical experience in the specialty area preferred.
